Annoyed.....?

I say (quietly to myself) that I am annoyed by my situation. Why would I not be....

At the job centre this Friday morning ( was outside at 0835 but doors not open until 0900 - keen been) and it was a reasonably pleasant affair. I ticked boxes said words and left.

Now in a coffee shop drinking coffee and reading book about causal effects, free will and self-determination...

Where will this all go or is it already determined...?

Fun fun fun

At Job Centre PLUS where the fun never stops.....or starts...

Busy shops...

Walking about a crowded shop can be a real test of (my) patience.

Eager shoppers will crash about crossing lanes with neither a look or glance (let alone a thought) at who they might be 'cutting up'. I wonder how they drive?

You also find plenty of people walking about at a snails pace. Why? Because they are intent of sending a text message from their mobile internet device of choice. What are they having a conversation about? Maybe discussing how pointless they are. It is all too easy to walk into these people. A brief apology and I am on my way. They know they are to blame!!

Bored...

Really don't enjoy this unemployment lark. It is dull and annoying. Have to find things to do to fill the spaces in my days.

Hooray....

When walking down the street you get to traffic lights. Just as you arrive at them the green man appears and you can cross the road straight away.

This happened to me twice today on my way to Costa (where I now sit with an empty cup) and it has made me happy beyond belief. It is rainy and cold outside but I dont care!

Fakery

Bananas that look ripe but are as hard as wood. My latest disappointment cost me 20 pence. Stick to making cakes....

New job problem

Started new job. Yoghurts still spurting..

Dunking disasters...

Biscuits that are left just a fraction too long in a cup of tea. They break and create a soggy mass, part floating, at the bottom of the cup. This is very distressing and signals problems with technique.

Logging

Always having to log in to get free wifi in places I have been to before. Something not right with that.....?

Infrequent Windfalls....

Finding money, even a small amount, can be a very pleasant surprise.

This does not happen often. That is annoying.

Things not being open on time is annoying...

Choice

Choosing shampoo is annoying and confusing. Is my hair frizzy, straight, curly, straight, shiny.......?!

Awkward

Conversations in lifts can be awkward. This morning when taking a lift in my hotel I was joined by an elderly gent (this is relative to me) I struggled to find any common ground for a quick conversation. 'Going up or down'? didn't seem appropriate. 'Why are you here'? would have been rude. In true Scottish style I resorted to a brief and feeble attempt to talk about the weather. 'Not a good day out today' fell kinda flat and made the already awkward tension itchy. We were both relieved when this three floor trip from hell was finished. He left, I sighed and broke wind.

Toilet

British rail toilets.

Itchy nipples can be annoying...

Safety

When you are in your car and go to pull the seatbelt across you and it sticks. Very annoying but need to step back from the momentary rage so that it can be corrected. Safety first...

Sitting in a coffee shop (where else would I be!) waiting to go to another interview. Difference is that this one came to me. Quite exciting so hope it goes well. Can see brighter days ahead....if it goes terribly then I have another interview more or less straight after. Less convinced about no.2 but hey ho that's how I deal my cards!

Crunch

People crunching food (esp. Crisps) close to my ear. That is annoying.

Spillage

When you open a yoghurt and it spurts. That is pretty annoying.
